SLIP/TRIP AND FALL
Liability in slip and fall or trip and fall cases is often contested. Property owners and insurers regularly claim that the hazard was open and obvious, temporary, or caused by the injured person’s own actions. Establishing notice, preserving evidence, and documenting the conditions as they existed at the time of the fall are critical.
My prior work representing businesses and insurers in litigation gives me insight into how these cases are approached from the defense side—particularly how incident reports, surveillance footage, and medical timelines are used to reduce exposure. I now use that knowledge to structure claims in a way that anticipates those defenses and emphasizes the facts that matter.
Damages may include medical expenses, lost income, future treatment, and pain and suffering. Depending on the property and insurance involved, coverage disputes may arise that require careful navigation.
Each case is handled directly—there are no layers of staff between the client and the attorney. I manage the file personally and advance the matter with the goal of prompt, full compensation. Slip and fall cases are handled on a contingency fee basis—no recovery, no fee.
